Tessuto transformed this tired, 1850s, Notting Hill villa into a family home for a couple with 2 young children. We doubled the family living space by excavating a basement to house the kitchen and family room, plus a cloakroom, gym and steam room. Full height Crittall windows and French doors were added to ground and basement floors, to improve the flow of natural light, and the interiors were kept deliberately spare to showcase the client’s important collection of contemporary art. Natural woods and burnished metals added texture and warmth to the design, while further enhancing the gallery feel of the interiors.
