Project GIA 170sqm.
Tessuto were commissioned to come up with a fresh concept for a show apartment in this famous yacht marina development outside Tokyo. The client is a publisher of a popular Anglophile lifestyle magazine, so the interior needed to reflect this.
Working remotely from London, and communicating via skype, Tessuto prepared a design concept marrying British Colonial and Japanese elements, and a package of detailed design drawings and product specifications to support this.
A local design firm oversaw the installation of the project and major Japanese house builder the Mitsui Corporation were responsible for carrying out the work to the highest standard.
The result is a highly decorative and whimsical weekend entertaining space for the promotion of the magazine and the use of its clients.
